How festivals, theaters and the film industry are adapting to the pandemic

The film industry is, of course, changing. But, as with everything, there is no flight path. Some studios are pushing release dates, some are going to video-on-demand. Some festivals happened, like True/False, that Kpolly went to just before everything went down. He shares a couple lighthearted documentaries and films to search out. Some festivals like the SXSW Film Festival got canceled. SXSW is going to have all of it’s films available for 10 days on Amazon and will be available to watch whether you have a Prime subscription or not.

Theaters are of course affected. The Oriental Theatre is starting a new program called Sofa Cinema. Kpolly fills us in on how that is going to work and what you can expect.

AND we have a special guest! Matt Mueller, the film critic and "Bachelor" enthusiast for OnMilwaukee.com is knowledgeable, strongly opinionated, and very funny. Matt has a grasp on how the industry is handling and how this could affect theaters and film production from here on out. Some spicy takes from Matt! Check it all out in the podcast.
