Milwaukee, enter to VISIT WITH VERNON!
Do you know someone who's on the fence about voting? Someone who hasn’t registered to vote, and maybe won’t? Justin Vernon would like to visit with them. Not to debate, not to preach, just to visit. Justin might play a tune, or sing a song, but mostly he just wants to talk thoughtfully about why voting matters.
We need you to nominate someone you know — someone not sure they’re going to vote — to have this talk with Justin. The visit will take place privately, at a secret location in the winner's home county. It will be filmed for broadcast later. And if the person you nominate is chosen? You get to come along.
We're excited to share this opportunity for residents in Milwaukee county this week, with additional county-based opportunities coming up over the next three weeks.
The contest has now ended. Winner will be contacted via phone and email by Eaux Claires Festival. Look for another contest announcement for a different county in Wisconsin next week.
In partnership with Eaux Claires Festival, the contest begins Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. CST. Deadline for entry is Friday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. CST.
Eaux Claires Festival will select one grand prize winner by the most compelling entry. Winner will be notified by email and phone. The selected winner will have 24 hours to respond before a new winner is selected.
You must be 18 years old or older, a U.S. citizen and resident of Milwaukee county to win.
