Listen: Take a moment and reflect on something you've done, voluntarily, for 17 years. That's an awful long time, right? A commitment like that is rare.
Recently, we heard a piece from a Harley-Davidson employee who in recent years has volunteered with Junior Achievement ( listen to that piece with Valerie Larry here). The company supports employee volunteer efforts by allowing them to participate in activies during work hours. Reid Steinmetz has been volunteering with Junior Achievement for 17 years, and he's been in the same classroom the whole time. Listen as Reid, and his collaborating classroom teacher Kris Baumgartner, share their experiences with Junior Achievement (scroll to the bottom for the audio piece).
Want to get involved with Junior Achievement of Wisconsin like Valerie? It sure sounds like a lot of fun. To learn more about how you volunteer in the Greater Milwaukee area, visit their website .
