Listen: The second of three pieces with Big Brothers Big Sisters (check out the first piece with Rick and Mequon here)! In this piece, Kiontis and I meet Margaret (an employee with the YMCA who works with fund raising) and Bethany (a 4th grader at Bethune Academy). They've been matched less than a year, but that doesn't mean they haven't already had a chance to have some good times together. Join us below for a game of four square!
Lately, I've heard more about Four Square the mobile social networking servicethan the game you play with a rubber ball, but that's one of the coolest parts of Big Brothers Big Sisters. When Kiontis asked me if I wanted to play four square for the first time, I needed a short refresher course, but as soon as we started playing all the rules started flooding back. Also, all the memories of playing four square with my siblings and neighbors. So! Join Margaret and Bethany as they take you inside their relationship a bit and then onto the four square court:
Want to volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters? No time is better than the present -- they're smack dab in the middle of their "Match-A-Thon," which means they're trying to match 100 mentors to kids before the new year. Become a Big Brother or Big Sister today!
