Be Heard: Young Professionals Get Out The Vote

"I do not need to vote, it won't make a difference anyway."

Have you ever heard this from a friend or co-worker?  Well Maggie Nonnenmacher from YP Impact had this conversation with a co-worker, and instead to just telling her why she should vote, she decided to tell all of Milwaukee why to vote.

With the 2010 mid-term elections are just around the corner, Maggie and the folks at YP Impactdecided to create GET HEARD and VOTE!

Fuel Milwaukee, Waukesha Business Alliance and YP Impact have joined forces to help you inform yourself on the candidates and the voting process.  They have created an email campaign to inform young professionals about where to vote, who is on the ballot and why it's so important to get to the polls on November 2nd.

They are also hosting an after vote party for young professionals on November 2nd. The November After5 Networking event, from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, will be at Mo’s Irish Pub, 10842 W. Bluemound Rd., Wauwatosa. This event allows young professionals the chance to network while celebrating voting and watching live election coverage.

Jordan had Maggie and Jonathan Armstrong in this morning to tell us more about the Get Heard : Vote campaign.  Check it out...
