Duck Sauce is a musical collaboration between A-Trak and Armand Van Helden, who teamed up to craft brand new bangers in the spirit of their favorite vintage disco house tunes, keeping the good vibes intact while adding that 2009 club knock.
These fellas each have an impressive resume. A-Track was the world champion DMC scratch DJ at the age of 15! He is the first DJ to win all three major DJ competition titles (DMC, ITF and Vestax), as well as being the first DJ to win five World Championships. Then he turned 20! He continued to Dj and was asked by Kanye West to be his tour DJ. He collaborated with West on Late Registration and Graduation. He also works with a slew of other great acts like Kid Sister, Lupe Fiasco, MSTRKRFT and Travis Barker.
Armand Van Helden has been creating great tunes since 1990. He's remixed such acts as the Rolling Stones, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, and Puff Daddy, as well as Daft Punk and Sneaker Pimps; just to name a few.
In the summer of 2009, the world was introduced to DUCK SAUCE. A-Track and Van Helden wanted to find a way to create disco-house tracks that would appeal to a wide range audience. I think the fellas can explain the process better than I can....

The thing I love most about this video is the crossover appeal this group brings to so many styles of music. The video features appearances from brother ?uestlove of the Roots, DJ Mehdi, Pharrell, Chromeo, Vampire Weekend, Santigold, Yelawolf, Diplo, DJ Premier and Kanye West. WOW! Talk about musical diversity.
