The Gorillaz are having a huge year. Their album Plastic Beach debuted at number 2 on the UK charts, selling 74,000 copies of their album. In the US, Gorillaz debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and sold 112,000 albums in the first week. They just recently concluded the US portion of a tour to sold-out crowds. How could a band top a year like this? How about record a new album entirely on an iPad and releasing it before the year is out.
Damon Albarn has been working on tracks for a new album all on the iPad while on tour. He hopes to create the first album ever recorded and produced on an iPad. (via NME)
The Gorillaz also have dropped the video for their latest single "Doncamatic" featuring singer Daley.
