Listen: Our second piece from Reagan High School began with an eavesdropped conversation. I overhead Erica Breithbarth (their talented and devoted choir director) speaking with Adam Murphy ( one of their awesome music teachers), and she began describing how she's been using fresh baked brownies as a tactic to recruiting boys for an all-male singing group. My ears immediately perked up.
For whatever reason, with only a wire-frame of the story in place, I had a premonition this would make good radio. A compact narrative packed with creativity that felt very high school, and the pieces fell into place quite quickly:
Again, I am remarkably impressed at the open and talented young people at Reagan -- being in front of a microphone, especially when performing, can be quite nerve wracking. Keep checking back for more from Reagan!
