A few days ago, Summerfest announced that Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes will be playing July 7 at 10pm on the US Cellular Connection stage. Some of you may know that the frontman Alex Ebert aka Alexander released his self-tiled solo release on Vagrant records back in March.
Alexander recorded this album in his bedroom while on break from touring with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes. This was Alexander's first time working on music by himself. All of his musical endeavors have been collaborative. Alexander also created all the music and sounds for his album.
Below is the first music video from his album and it is for the song "A Million Years", which was directed by Benjamin Kutsko. The video is goregeous and looks like it was ripped from a classic children's story. Hopefully he might play some of his solo stuff at Summerfest. Enjoy.
