Last night I was at Turner Hall Ballroom, I check out the broadcast of the My Morning Jacket concert from Louisville, Kentucky, which is part of American Express' 'Unstaged' music series . The concert celebrated My Morning Jacket's release of their new album "Circuital." My Morning Jacket stream the concert via Youtube and it was directed by Todd Haynes who directed the Academy nominated films "Far From Heaven and "I'm Not There"
The band invited the Erykah Badu as a special guest to perform a couple of songs including Badu's "Tyrone" and My Morning Jacket's "Wordless Chorus" Check out the videos below of the performances. Don't forget you can catch My Morning Jacket live in Milwaukee at The Riverside Theater on June 16.
In other Erykah Badu related news, she release a new music video for her song "Out My Mind" from her album " New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh." The video was directed by Badu herself and it features her in black & white doing a modern dance.
