Florence & The Machine -- Must see.

Exhilarating, upbeat and an all around moving experience. Florence and the Machine will open for The Black Keys at Summerfest’s Marcus Amphitheater on Wednesday, July 6th at 7:30 p.m. There are far too many reasons why you shouldn’t miss this show. With number one hits such as “Kiss with a Fist”, “Dogs Days Are Over” or “You’ve Got The Love”-- Florence & the Machine manages to bring a variety of rock and soulful vibes to every stage.

What I like best is the sheer talent of Florence Welch. Known for her combination of heartfelt lyrics and soaring vocals -- the 25-year-old UK singer debuted her first album, Lungs, in 2009. Florence is a fearless spirit and is known for putting it all out there for any audience to enjoy. For this reason alone, it’s impossible not to relate to her. There’s something about the choir, drum, harps, and pounding melodies that make you move to her every beat. Along with her long-time partners Rob Ackroyd (guitar), Chris Hayden (drums), Isabella Summers (keyboards), and Tom Monger (harp), you will witness a music machine that surely won’t disappoint.

From the UK to the US, Florence & The Machine attracts the biggest crowds at any festival. Their US tour kicked off earlier this month at Bonnaroo, but what’s even better is the music machine being in Milwaukee. So if you’re looking for a crowd mover and perhaps to sing on the top of your lungs with Florence, then you know where you need to be on July 6th. Need a reminder?...then listen online at RadioMilwaukee.org...I know I will be.
