Bronzeville Renaissance Festival and Walk for Unity!/Neighborhood Project Week 8

The very first annual Bronzeville Renaissance Festival and Walk for Unity took place August 11, 2011 at North Division High School, and wound its way down to the Northcott Neighborhood Centeron 6th Street. This event, created through a collaboration with various community partnerships and organizations, including Lindsay Heights Youth Council and the Boys and Girls Club Mary Ryan Center (among many others). Youth, adults, and community stakeholders marched alongside African dancers, drummers, and Senegalese dancer, Lucky...the entourage was replete with banners, flags, megaphones, and a strong sense of camaraderie and a mission to create a stronger understanding of and pride in the Bronzeville neighborhood.
