Hide House Water Containment System and Engineers without Borders/Make a Difference Week 1

Alana Soehartono, Milam Smith, Ryan Daugherty, and Andrew Plier are involved with the organization Engineers without Borders, and they created a water containment system for the Hide House Community Gardens.

What is a water containment system? Well, it starts on the roof of Hide House, and terminates in rain barrels that allow the gardeners to water the Community Garden and provide fresh, green, healthy veggies and herbs to our community.

These young engineers not only work at the local level, but also at the international level. Alana has worked in Guatemala to provide clean, accessible drinking water to residents of communities there. Learn more about these amazing young adults by clicking on our podcast below!
