I will be heading down to Austin, Texas for SXSW this March for the third time. Each time, it seem to get bigger and bigger. If you are not to familiar with SXSW, it is a festival and conference consisting of 3 parts: Interactive, Film, and of course Music. There are people, organizations, bands, and artists from all over the world that come to SXSW. Even some cities have some representation at SXSW in an official capacity.
This year, a group of Milwaukeeans wants to make a big splash in Austin by hosting a Milwaukee Shindig. This Shindig, will highlight Milwaukee's tech, arts & culutre, and music scenes. The Milwaukee Shindig will be on March 12 at the Cedar Street Courtyard from 11am - 4pm in Austin, Texas. Milwaukee's I'm Not A Pilot and Fresh Cut Collective will also be performing at the Milwaukee Shindig.
The MKE Shindig is Milwaukee’s moment to shine at one of the country’s largest and highly anticipated innovation conferences around. Building off the huge success of the Milwaukee Beer and Brat Bash – a lunch event organized and hosted the previous 2 years by a group of Milwaukeans at SXSW, and attended by over 400 attendees from around the country – Milwaukee is ready to do it again, even bigger and better than before!
Our goal, just like last year, is to promote Milwaukee’s creative and tech scene while networking over Milwaukee’s unique food and drink. This lunchtime showcase, will highlight the creative aspects of Milwaukee by including live music, food, drink, technology and more — all straight from Brew City. The event, is a collaboration between folks of all different backgrounds and occupations with one thing in common: they live in and love Milwaukee.

A portion of the event is currently being sponsored by the core organizers (Shindig, Translator, Sosh, size43, Rohdesign) The group is fully behind the event and are committed to making it happen but we need help to be able to represent MKE the way it should be. We’ve set up the following sponsorship levels:

$750 (1): Stage sponsorship (Stage named after you, stage size banner which we’ll capture in photos, vid, etc) Sold!
