This week on the 2 o'clock Break we are going to look at the music of Madlib. Dj, Producer, Mc and multi-instrumentalist, Madlib is the man behind a lot of great works.
One of my favorite, was his 2003 SHADES OF BLUE album. This project was actually commissioned by the folks at Blue Note. They gave access to the label's catalog, and Madlib created some great tunes.
The album begins strong with the intro track "Slim's Return".
This track is a remake of Gene Harris' "Book Of Slim"
