All this week on Seven O'Clock Sample we've been exploring the samples used by Will.I.Am.
In 2006, Will headed down to Brazil, and teamed up with an artist that he had been sampling for years. Sergio Mendes, has been putting out great bossa nova records since the early 60s. Will has been sampling Sergio for many years. They teamed up in 2006, to produce a brand new record for Sergio called Timeless.
This album featured great performances from artists like Stevie Wonder, Chali 2na, Justin Timberlake, and Jill Scott on the song "Let Me".
