Our focus this week on the Seven O'Clock sample is on the music production of RJD2. He's collaborated with many of my favorite MCs, but without a doubt, he's best with Blueprint. In 2002, they released the UNTITLED EP, as the group SOUL POSITION.
This track, "Mic Control" contains a funky sample from Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley's track "The Old Country". (Check the piano lick at the beginning of the track)
