All this week on the Seven O'Clock Sample, it's the music of the Five Stairsteps. Today we listened to a song form the 1968 album "Our Family Portrait". This project included everybody in their family on the album. The original five Burke siblings display their classic harmonies and crying leads on a well-rounded selection of songs. "Something's Missing," "Find Me," and "Bad News".
40 years later, 9th Wonder sampled this song on his 2nd album with MC Buckshot. Check out the song "Be Cool".
