On this past Friday's Rhythm Lab Radio, we featured a quite bit of new music. We kicked off the show with a project called The Bullitts. Fronted and created by UKs Jeymes Samuel, The Bullitts features an impressive guest list including Lucy Liu, Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), Jay Electronica, and Rosario Dawson. You could call the music Cinematic Hip Hop.
From the forthcoming Verve Remix album entitled The First Ladies, we played the Toro Y Moi remix of Billie Holiday's "My Man." We also featured new music from the classical/electronic group Clean Bandit. Definitely watch out for these cats.
Plus we played new music from Atmosphere, Ghostpoet, Maya Jane Coles, Booker T. Jones and the amazing Milwaukee group, Fable & The World Flat.
