We're all excited at 88Nine about this year's Milwaukee Film Festival, celebrating their 5th anniversary with 15 days of over 200 (!!!) films. I'm excited to be rejoined by Jonathan Jackson, Executive Director of MKE Film, very smart film buff, and one of, like, two people who will sit in a room with me for longer an hour.
Jonathan has joined us for the last two years talking about some of the great films that have played, and we're thrilled to do it again, highlighting films and shorts and programs that you, the 88Nine listener, might want to check out. There aren't enough hours in the day to see every single movie, but we hope this will give you some direction to dive in. "There's something for everyone" is definitely applicable in this instance.
Over the next 15 days, we'll be highlighting a film you can see that evening. It's great for fans of immediate gratification, or in my case, simple slacking.
First up, Jonathan and I talk opening night, and the festival at large.
