The Pabst Theater Group on Wednesday trotted out a trio of announcements involving some big names from the world of comedy who will visit Milwaukee next March and April.
The first one to roll through town is Aziz Ansari, who shared details about his “Hypothetical Tour” that starts Feb. 21 in Kansas City. A couple weeks later, he’ll be at the Riverside Theater for a March 7 show and 90 minutes west the following night for a March 8 appearance at the Orpheum Theater in Madison.
Ansari hasn’t struggled to find outlets for his art and has built a career that touches just about every aspect of the entertainment world. He co-created, wrote, directed and starred in the award-winning Master of None, and next October will release Good Fortune. Besides co-starring with Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen, Ansari again serves as director and writer on the project.
Three weeks after Ansari steps onto the Riverside stage, Whitney Cummings will do the same just a few blocks away at the Pabst Theater for a March 28 show. That performance is part of her “Big Baby” North American tour, which had its first leg this year and will pick it up with a second installment running throughout a good chunk of 2025.
Besides being one of the major voices in standup, Cummings has left her mark in television by co-creating and co-writing the award-winning 2 Broke Girls for CBS while simultaneously developing Whitney for NBC. Next week, she’ll appear as the host of Max’s new game show Fast Friends centered around the iconic NBC sitcom.
The third bit of news from Pabst Theater Group is yet another additional show for Jim Gaffigan at the Riverside Theater, where he’ll now perform five times across four days April 9-12. With three of those performances already sold out and a fourth about to, the legendary comedian tacked on a Wednesday night show you can get tickets for right now.
Tickets for Ansari’s show March 7 and Cummings’ appearance March 28 will go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. this Friday, Dec. 13, online and at the Pabst/Riverside box offices.
