Wes Anderson has become one of the most influential American directors in the last 10 years. It is his attention to details and his unique style that makes his films stand out. Another unique aspect of his films is the music. On May 13, American Laundromat Records will release I Saved Latin! A Tribute to Wes Anderson.
The double-disc will feature artists covering songs from Anderson's films like Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, Royal Tenebaums, Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Darjeeling Limited, and more. Artists such as Juliana Hatfield, Black Francis, Generationals, Matt Pond, Freelance Whales and others will be covering songs by Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Nick Drake, Kinks, Cat Stevens, and others.
Wisconisn's own PHOX will be covering The Zombies' “The Way I Feel Inside," which was used in the film Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
