MPS hosts district-wide science fair

More than 200 of Milwaukee Public School's sharpest minds competed last week in the 7th annual science fair.

Students from all over the school district, from kindergarten to grade 12, presented projects to volunteer judges.  Working alone and in groups, students had to defend their research and explain how they formulated their conclusions from their hypotheses.

“Our science fair is a showcase of students seeking solutions to real-world problems,” MPS Science Curriculum Specialist Jon Breedlove said in a news release. “We’re excited to see more students and more schools participating and we’re looking forward to continuing to strengthen this wonderful event."

In all, the fair showcased 219 projects put together by 273 students from 36 schools.
