Last week, we had new music from Atmosphere's new album Southsiders, and A fantastic tune from Quantic's forthcoming album Magnetica. We introduced two new artists on last week's show. From New Zealand, singer/songwriter and producer Daniel McBride, who goes by the name of Sheep, Dog & Wolf. He was nominated for the prestigious Taite Award alongside Lorde. Sheep, Dog & Wolf's music is a blend of folk, jazz, and rock. Then from Ocean Beach, San Diego we introduced you to Gunakdeit(pronounced goo-naka-date). Her music sounds like a cross between Tune-Yards and Dirty Projectors.
We played new music from Chromeo's new album White Women and from London, we had a tune from up & coming producer Tourist featuring London's Lianne La Havas. Finally, we had new music from artist by the name of Low Leaf, who sings and plays various instruments including the harp. Based in Los Angeles, Low Leaf effortlessly combines jazz electronic and folk into her own unique style.
