On this week's show, we featured two tracks from Taylor McFerrin's new debut album Early Riser, which was released on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder label. Taylor is the son of 10-time grammy winning artist Bobby McFerrin. We also have a simple, but lovely tune from South African producer Thor Rixon. Then from down under, we have a future soul cut from a new artist by the name of Akouo.
In the second hour, New Orleans Queen Diva of Bounce, Big Freedia, returns and we have her new tune called "Explode" In 2011, SBTRK and Sampha created some fantastic future soul tunes on SBTRKT's self-titled, debut album. The two got back together for a new tune, which we featured in the hour. Plus,the UK classical infused electronic outfit Clean Bandit are tearing up the charts in their home country.
