88nine's 'Work2Do' interview series

This summer, 88nine is teaming up with a great local organization to bring you stories of creative Milwaukeeans and the work they're doing to make Milwaukee a better place.

Formed last month, the Work2Do online community aims to connect and inspire collaboration among creative professionals in the city, find common ground, and help them to get to know and support each other.

Work2Do was formed by Ben Koller, born out of his work to restore and display the historic MECCA Floor.

For the next few weeks, 88nine will broadcast portions of our interviews with these professionals, answering the question "who are you, and what are you excited to be working on?"

Click the players below to hear those interviews, and keep checking back for more content.  We will continue to update this page throughout the summer!

Below is the music video for the project, inspired by the story of the Mecca floor and it's revival.  Our Mecca group released the track by Milwaukee's Pharoah MAC and DMT called "Work 2 Do."  The song features a sample of the 1972 funk classic "Work To Do" by the Isley Brothers.
