Pitchfork is the perfect summer music festival. It’s small. From the middle you can probably throw a baseball to each border (with proper form, of course). They undersell tickets instead of overselling and anticipating no shows, so there is room to lay down on the grass and guess cloud shapes as a band that you love plays a live soundtrack. Oh yeah, and the music is top notch. It’s always wonderfully curated, diverse, and cool without being too cool.
If you like the music that we play at 88Nine, you will probably be pretty happy with the lineup. Of the 46 bands booked, we have played at least half of them consistently at one point. We love Wilco, Sleater-Kinney, Chance the Rapper, Future Islands, Chvrches, The New Pornographers, Run the Jewels, Caribou, Panda Bear, Courtney Barnett, and plenty others.
Here is the full lineup.
