This week’s song comes from Seattle. A city that was once known for grunge and an overdose of plaid is now a burgeoning hip hop, electronic and soul scene. From hip hop artists like THEESatisfaction and Shabazz Palaces to electronic artists like Lusine and Odesza, Seattle is showing the country that it is more than just ambassadors of 90’s rock.
The newcomer, Indie pop/soul duo SISTERS is also contributing to this new diverse scene especially with their track “Back 2 U.” A unique mixture of indie pop, R&B, and psychedelic soul, “Back 2 U” could be the soundtrack for Spring (if it ever gets here).
