Nashville guitarist and composer, William Tyler, brings his transcendent soundscapes to the Italian marble and Venetian glass lined Chapel of Mary Immaculate on the Alverno College campus.
Often a contributor to the visions of other artists like Lambchop, Silver Jews and Hiss Golden Messenger; Tyler as a solo artist allows his own work to unfurl and expand into what he considers, “my ’70s singer-songwriter record; it just doesn’t have any words.”
In Nick Sanborn's 2013 Alverno Presents performance, "Lend Me Your Voice," Tyler explored how supporting another artist's vision shapes the sideman. For this upcoming Alverno Presents event, the spotlight is all on him.
