TAP'd IN - Replacements' Milwaukee connection

Every Thursday at 8am on 88Nine, Jordan Lee and Piet Levy of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel talk about the music coming into and out of this great city by the lake called Milwaukee.

The Replacements will play a sold out show this weekend in Milwaukee. The band is on its first U.S. tour since breaking up in 1991, with a stop at the Rave’s Eagles Ballroom May 2.  We talked about their connections to Milwaukee, and the importance of this date.

We also discussed the Steve Kleiber Scholarship Concert, which will feature performances from Willy Porter, Greg Koch and Sam Llanas -- all paying tribute to the late bass player.  Proceeds benefit promising college-bound music students at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.
