It is the second day of Summerfest, and it is getting better. Today's picks range from a Grammy-winning jazz artist, to one of the world's best hip hop groups, to slew of local talent.
Let's start with some of the local picks. At 5:30pm, the rock-pop band Ian & The Dream will take the KNE New Music Stage. On the same stage at 9pm, you can get dancing shoes for the synth-rock sounds of Canopies. Over at the Johnson Controls World Stage, you can catch Milwaukee's Sam Llanas at 7:30pm and Willy Porter at 9:30pm.
If hip hop is your thing, check out Milwaukee's Rusty P's on the Miller Lite Oasis Stage at 8pm, followed by the amazing Public Enemy at 10pm. For the jazz lovers, make sure you catch the Grammy-winning Esperanza Spalding on the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard Stage at 7:30pm. Then blues lovers should head over to the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse Stage for Gary Clark, Jr., who puts on a fantastic live show!
For the bluegrass and folk-rock fans, watch Trample By Turtles do their thing on the Uline Warehouse Stage at 10pm. Also, you can check out Imagine Dragons-endorsed newcomer X Ambassadors at the US Cellular Connection Stage at 6:45pm.
