Today's Summerfest picks range from amazing soul to powerful Afrobeat to indie supergroups to local favorites. Let's start on the Johnson Controls World Stage. Kicking off at 6:00pm is Milwaukee's soul icon Paul Cebar Tomorrow Sound. At 8:00PM, you can catch the Afrobeat sounds of Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, who is the son of the legendary Fela Kuti. Following Seun Kuti, you should stick around for the 'Screaming Eagle' Charles Bradley at 10:00PM. He will turn your Sunday to Soulful Sunday!
We have three recommendations you should not miss over at the Miller Lite Oasis Stage. Catch the indie-pop duo Mates of State at 6:30PM. Following Mates of State, make sure you stick around for one of my favorite songwriter's Chris Porterfield and his band Field Report. Always a local favorite. Then closing out at 10:00PM will be indie-supergroup The New Pornographers.
Rocking over at US Cellular Connection Stage is buzzworthy band Saint Motel at 8:00PM. Prior to that, you should check out singer/songwriter Sarah Jaffe at 5:30PM. Jaffe was a featured vocalist on an Eminem track.
If you want to get the Summerfest early, you can check out the Milwaukee's Eagle Trace at 3:45PM on the KNE New Music Stage. However, if you just want to dance the night away, catch Milwaukee native DJ Kid Cut Up over at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse at 9:00PM.
