Women today are earning more degrees in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) thanks in part to early education programs promoting STEM careers. I visited a week-long science camp called GE Girls, which give middle school students from Waukesha schools hands-on curriculum focusing on medical technologies, physiology and biomedical engineering.
A partnership between the Milwaukee School of Engineering and the GE Women's Network at Wisconsin based campuses of GE, this program offers girls a chance to work together and discover interesting opportunities for STEM-related careers.
