TV On The Radio pours it on with their version of "Purple Rain"

A few days ago on a stop at Minneapolis' iconic First Avenue, TV On The Radio paid homage to the hometown hero Prince with a very moving version of "Purple Rain." Then Nona Marie Invie from the opening band RONiiA joined Tunde Adebimpe on stage to sing with him. Watch below. (via Pitchfork)

 

In other related TV On The Radio news, frontman Tunde Adebimpe joined Faith No More's Mike Patton and rapper Doseone for a project called Nevermen. The supergroup released the lead single, "Tough Towns" from their forthcoming self-titled album.  Take a listen below.
