Take a listen to the hottest tracks of August!
Each month I collect some of my favorite tracks and place it in a Soundcloud playlist to be use on my show Rhythm Lab Radio. Starting this month, I wanted to share with you the songs that I have been playing on repeat throughout the month of August.
There are some amazing new artists that you really ought to know like producer Tom Misch, who has become one of my favorite producers of 2015. Then there is Australian Sampa The Great, who just released probably the best mixtape of 2015. Then if you are a fan of Foxygen, you definitely want to check out the track “Soon To Be, Won’t To Be” from Diane Coffee. You can stream his entire album over at NPR Music. Trust me you won’t regret it. I also have a track from Will Smith’s son Jaden Smith that is a throwback to 90’s hip hop. Then for my Tune-Yard fans, you must check out Jain and her tune "Makeba." You can also listen to the track “Tough Towns” from the supergroup Nevermen that features Mike Patton (Faith No More), Tunde Adebimpe (TV On The Radio) and Doesone. I can’t let you miss out on a track featuring Kimbra from my favorite New Zealand outfit Electric Wire Hustle.
So grab your headphones and check out the hottest tracks of August courtesy of Rhythm Lab Radio! Let me know what you think! What songs did you like the most?
