The Mequon Festivals Committee will hosts its annual Taste of Mequon this Saturday, September 12, from 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The Taxmen will be performing on the main stage from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will take the stage from 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., and The Noisy Neighbors will headline the event from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. In the Children’s Area, kids will have a chance to learn how to fish with the DNR, interact with animals from the Mequon Nature Preserve, and enjoy Story Time on the Library’s front lawn. There will also be a climbing wall, face painters, balloon artists, caricature artists, and an inflatable obstacle course provided by Elite Sports Club. Dozens of food and beverage vendors will provide festival goers with a diverse array of delicious cuisine options. Parking will be available at Homestead High School with a complimentary shuttle to the event, and handicap parking will be available in the City Hall parking lot. Cedarburg Road in front of Mequon City Hall will be closed all day for this event.
