Wine, Women, & Dementia Film Screening
Wine, Women, & Dementia Film Screening
The Ozaukee County Dementia Friendly Coalition invites family caregivers to a special, free afternoon dedicated to the people behind the caregiving journey. Join us for a screening of the acclaimed documentary Wine, Women & Dementia, directed by Kitty Norton. Wine, Women & Dementia shines a light on an often-overlooked part of dementia: the experience of the family caregiver. Director Kitty Norton created the film
after her own journey caring for her mother who was living with dementia. Her story—and the stories of other
caregivers featured in the film—offer an honest, heartfelt and sometimes humorous look at what it means to love and care for someone through dementia.
After the film, there will be time for group discussion questions, learning about community resources and Ozaukee County Dementia Friendly's Coalition efforts, raffle prizes, along with connecting with one another. Refreshments and light appetizers will be provided. On-site respite for the care receiver is available at no cost.
