A little more than a month ago, the Milwaukee Brewers released their schedule for next season, including the opening homestand April 2-7. With that out of the way, it seems they’ve turned their attention to music and today announced the first concert of 2024 at American Family Field: country superstar Luke Combs.
In fitting baseball fashion, Combs has opted for a doubleheader of sorts and will take over the Brewers’ home April 12 and 13. It’ll be his first time headlining in Milwaukee, having opened for Blake Shelton at Summerfest in 2018 and joining the Farm Aid lineup at Alpine Valley the following year. The shows will also — to continue the pained baseball metaphor — lead off Combs’ “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour,” a stadium-only run through the United States that wraps Aug. 10 in Houston.
And, just in case you thought the comparisons with America’s pastime were over, the lineup for the two nights at AmFam Field will get tantalizingly close to batting-order length, with eight total acts taking the stage. In addition to Combs, we also get openers Cody Jinks, Charles Wesley Godwin and The Wilder Blue on April 12; and Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Drew Parker and Colby Acuff on April 13.
Tickets for both shows go on sale next week in a variety of formats, including:
- Platinum presale — Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m.
- Two-day fan presale — Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m.
- General verified fan presale — Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 10 p.m.
- General sale — Friday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m.
