Comedian Dave Chappelle has already logged a handful of dates on the fall tour he announced last month, but apparently it’s never too late to add a couple shows to the run, which now includes an Oct. 17 appearance at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum.
The distinctive — and occasionally divisive — Chappelle started things off last week with a series of shows at Madison Square Garden and will stop in Cleveland on Sept. 8 as the tour begins in earnest. In the midst of that break, he tacked on the Milwaukee show and four others in an announcement that also included a new name for the tour: “Dave Chappelle Live: It’s A Celebration, B!%?#&$!”
Like the other stops across the country, the appearance here at Fiserv Forum will be as tech-free as possible. Here’s what the venue had to say about the policy fans can expect:
No cellphones, cameras, or recording devices will be allowed at this show. Upon arrival, all phones and smart watches will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of their phones throughout the night and, if needed, may access their phones at designated Yondr unlocking stations. Anyone caught with a cellphone in the venue will be immediately ejected. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.
There are several ways to secure tickets for the Oct. 17 show, including a handful of presales that get underway at 10 a.m. this Wednesday, Aug. 30. The general sale starts at 10 a.m. the following day, Aug. 31. Information about all of those opportunities is available at Ticketmaster.
