In Milwaukee, the year 2012 brought us two things: the world not ending AND the formulation of Midwest Death Rattle, a band who’s self-titled, debut album rocked the local scene and left us all eagerly waiting for more.
And wait we have. It took the group four years to perfect its sophomore album, but Post-Apocalypso is certainly worth the wait. The album’s name is a nod to the Mayan-predicted end of the world in the year of the band’s inception.
Midwest Death Rattle is set to play Cactus Club on Sunday, August 7, and they stopped by Studio Milwaukee for a performance the Thursday beforehand.
Ken Sumka is out this week, so our trusty Music Director Justin Barney was at the helm for our live performance and interview.
