Sometimes we get Shadow inspiration from a birthday or historical event, or a brand-new cover of a beloved song.
Or, in the case of John, from Whitefish Bay, it's simply a great cover of a simple, great song. John suggested Cee Lo Green's cover of the Band Of Horses' "No One's Gonna Love You," which is tough to argue with.
In an odd bit of synchronicity, despite John emailing me a few weeks ago (don't worry, folks, I save ALL of your suggestions and keep them, sometimes waiting for the right chance to play them) "No One's Gonna Love You" came on my iPod today (after I chose to play the song).
Then when I sat down to select the music for my show today, it also came up again. Sometimes fate intervenes and guides you to do certain things. Today apparently was the day to play this song. Thanks, John.
