MILWAUKEE (July 6, 2016) – Summerfest officials are excited to announce a surprise promotion offering 50,000 tickets to next year’s festival in honor of the festival’s 50th edition in 2017. OnSunday, July 10, all patrons arriving at Summerfest from noon – 5:00 p.m. will receive one general admission ticket to Summerfest 2017. One ticket per person, promotion will run at all gates.
The 50,000 for Summerfest 50 will compliment a free admission promotion already announced forSunday, July 10. Summerfest “Fan Appreciation Day,” presented by Meijer, offers FREE admission to patrons between noon – 3:00 pm, presented by Meijer and Summerfest.
“In the spirit of “Summerfest Fan Appreciation Day,” we wanted to do something special to kick-off the year of celebration leading up to the 50th Summerfest in 2017,” said Don Smiley, President & CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. “With our deep roots in this community, a free ticket offer on a free admission day is a terrific way to start our year-long celebration and say thank you to all our fans.”
