Megan Thee Stallion's Hip-Hop Week MKE concert postponed due to illness

Hip-Hop Week MKE has lost one of its biggest headliners. Less than six hours before her scheduled show at the Rave tonight, the venue has announced that Megan Thee Stallion's show has been canceled due to illness.

"Regrettably, this show has been postponed," the venue wrote on its website. "Megan Thee Stallion is sick, and will not be performing tonight. A new date will be announced in the near future."

"Hold on to your ticket(s) and parking pass," the venue wrote. "They will be valid for the new date. You do not need to exchange or return your tickets. Once the new date is announced, we will offer refunds to anyone who cannot attend the new date. Please stay tuned to our website, and social media pages for updates."

Megan Thee Stallion has been enjoying a breakout year, recently scoring her biggest hit yet with "Hot Girl Summer," a collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign named after a viral expression the rapper coined.

Other Hip-Hop Week MKE shows will go on as scheduled, including tonight's " Ladies First: A Musical Tribute to the Women of Classic Hip-Hop and R&B," a free concert curated by singer B~Free at the Marcus Center tonight -- not a bad backup plan at all if you're a Megan Thee Stallion fan whose night is suddenly open.
