My Morning Jacket returns to the Riverside Theater this June

It’s been quite a few years since My Morning Jacket was last in Milwaukee. Frontman Jim James has been here solo to tide us over, but there’s nothing quite like seeing the full quintet live. On June 21, we’ll finally get that opportunity again when My Morning Jacket plays the Riverside Theater as part of a North American tour.

The band made Milwaukee a near-annual stop as their catalog and reputation for memorable live performances grew. This summer’s show will mark exactly eight years since their last visit in 2015, when they toured behind The Waterfall.

They’ve added two more albums — 2020’s The Waterfall II and 2021’s My Morning Jacket — but recorded material is only part of the band’s allure. In fact, for a pretty sizable chunk of their fanbase, it’s a distant second to seeing how they expand on those songs in a live setting.

If you want to witness it for yourself, there's a presale at noon Thursday, March 23 (code: SPRING), and a general sale at 10 a.m. the following day online and at the Pabst/Riverside Box offices. In addition, we’ll give away tickets on 88Nine starting tomorrow, March 16, and you’ll also have the opportunity to enter to win them online beginning this Friday via our contests page.
