With the splashiest lineup drop out of the way, Summerfest has set to work filling in the remaining gaps in the 2025 schedule — the two biggest being July 3 at the BMO Pavilion and July 4 at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.
The World’s Largest Music Festival took care of the former Monday morning by announcing that 311 will headline the pavilion July 3 with special guest Badflower.
For a lot of music fans, the fact that 311 have been at it for more than three decades will come as a bit of an eye-opener. In that time, they’ve rolled out 14 studio albums — five of which secured platinum certification — and even an unofficial holiday featuring a special concert for their fans. For 2024, the stars aligned for the band to play at NPR’s Tiny Desk, and the performance debuted promptly on 311 Day.
Badflower are a couple decades shy of their BMO Pavilion partner, having formed in 2015 as The Cartunes before a trademarking issue forced the name change. In the years since, the L.A.-based band has dropped a pair of albums and more recently shared a series of singles, including “London” just a couple weeks ago.
LIke all BMO Pavilion shows, this one includes the option to pick up a reserved seat when tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, March 7, online via Ticketmaster and in person at the Summerfest box office. Any remaining seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis the day of the show.
