Singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams announced two Wisconsin stops on her upcoming tour, including a Sept. 25 date at the Pabst Theater that follows an appearance at the Barrymore Theatre in Madison the previous night.
One of the most celebrated and consistently excellent voices in music, Williams garnered immediate critical acclaim in 1980 with her first album of originals, “Happy Woman Blues.” Forty years later, her 2020 album “Good Souls Better Angels” received similarly glowing plaudits, with NPR Music calling her “still the biggest badass in town.”
The Sunday night show in Milwaukee starts at 8 p.m., with doors opening an hour earlier. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, at the Pabst/Riverside box offices and online. More information is available on the show’s webpage.
