Every morning throughout Summerfest 2023, we’ll deliver a guide that covers the day’s entertainment and how you can get in the gate free of charge. This is where you’ll find info about the AmFam Amp headliners, eclectic picks from our knowledgeable staff and the music lineup for the day (see the full 2023 Summerfest lineup here).
Today at the Amp/staff pick #1
Odesza, 7:30 p.m.
Like so many artists, Odesza had to shut down any ideas of touring in 2020. After seven straight years of hitting the road hard, the pandemic forced them to reflect and develop new ideas with traditional sounds. The resulting project, The Last Goodbye, is filled with heavier-than-usual themes and lighter sounds. It’s a tribute to the fans who have been with them since day one.
In addition to what’s sure to be an amazing show Friday at the Amp, Odesza will share their live experience on the big screen. For one day only (July 7) at select movie theaters, you can see something unlike any other concert put to film. This is a full-blown, 3D presentation featuring unreleased remixes of their songs and showcases for some of their favorite collaborations. If for some reason you can’t get to the Summerfest show, check out information about The Last Goodbye Cinematic Experience on the film’s website.

Radio Milwaukee staff pick #2
Cullah @ Miller Lite Oasis, 6:15 p.m.
Get ready to groove because the incredibly talented Cullah’s quest to conquer the Milwaukee music scene is coming to Summerfest. With a fusion of folk, rock, blues and electronic beats, Cullah's tunes will have you dancing in no time.
Just recently, he wowed the crowd with a captivating performance at Radio Milwaukee as our guest for 88Nine’s State of Sound. Today, he rocks the Miller Lite Oasis as the latest in a family of music legends. His grandparents, dynamic duo Dick and Nancy Wolff, were part of The Wolff Family Band that smashed the Guinness World Record with a whopping 19 members.
But it’s way more than good genes. Cullah is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, building jaw-dropping skills on everything from guitar to drums to keyboards. So get ready for a night of pure musical magic as he takes Summerfest by storm!

Radio Milwaukee staff pick #3
Yung Gravy @ Generac Power Stage, 9:30 p.m.
All aboard! The Gravy Train is making its way back to Milwaukee. I was lucky enough to watch Yung Gravy pack The Rave/Eagles Club back in November, when he and bbno$ put on a sensational performance. So it’s no surprise I am beyond stoked to see what he brings to the Generac Power Stage tonight. Known for his high-energy shows, on-stage antics and addictively catchy sound, I think it’s safe to say we can expect another marvelous night from the one and only … Mr. Clean.

Radio Milwaukee staff pick #4
lovelytheband @ Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard, 10 p.m.
According to Spotify, alternative rock is my jam. So it only makes sense that I’d find lovelytheband. Just like most people, “broken” is probably the only song I REALLY know — at least in the “singing at the top of my lungs” sense — but it’s so good that I’ve told myself I need to see them live at Summerfest. The band released their new album, if we’re being honest, just a few weeks ago, and it’ll be exciting to see the crowd sing along to the newer songs for the first time.
