The Record Company will play Saturday's virtual Farm Aid concert
Farm Aid is going virtual this year. Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews will once again perform for the 35th installment of the benefit concert on Saturday, Sept. 26, which will be streamed for free at FarmAid.org and on YouTube.
Other performers include Norah Jones, Black Pumas, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton and Nathaniel Rateliff among many, many others.
And there are some Milwaukee ties on the bill, too. The Record Company, a Los Angeles blues rock band founded by Milwaukee native Chris Vos, will be performing. Vos spoke to Piet and told him that that playing the bill is one of the great honors of his life, because his father is farmer, as was his grandfather.
Piet tells us all about it on this week's episode, and also explains how near and dear Farm Aid's cause is to Wisconsin dairy farmers. Stream the episode below.
