DJ Why B aka Christopher Gerard went from being the token Hip Hop DJ at a handful of raves in the late 90s to co-promoting the legendary Wheeled events in the early 2000s. Him, his partner and good friend Kid Cut Up formed the "No Request Sound" DJ crew in 2004. After being voted Shepherd Express Best Club DJ in 2006 he became a regular fixture in the Milwaukee DJ scene playing at pretty much every venue in city. Some of his notable performances came in the form of opening sets for acts such as Mark Farina, Craze, DJ Rectangle, De La Soul and Dave Chappelle.
These days we can find him playing at popular Milwaukee spots including Dick’s, Door No. 7, Jackalope Lounge, Lucid, Mikey’s, Plum, Vagabond and more. He is also hosting his own parties like The Rick Jameson Experience at Rogues Gallery, Twerque Du Soleil at Bad Genie and his weekly Tuesday throwback night called "The Player’s Pub" at Malone’s on Brady. His love for his craft and having a good time have kept him young at heart and an influential part of the Milwaukee DJ scene year after year.
