Separating yourself from the ever-growing number of holiday markets is tough to do alone. And when things get tough, it helps to have nice neighbors willing to lend a hand. Anodyne’s location in Walker’s Point got one of those friendly across-the-street types when Station 1846 opened on Bruce Street earlier this year, and the two will join forces on an indoor-outdoor shopping experience Dec. 8.
Anodyne’s half of that equation is its fourth annual Merry & Bright Market, which will happen in the cozy confines of its cafe at 224 W. Bruce St. from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The free event includes coffee specials, the seasonal release of Anodyne’s Merry & Bright Blends, holiday tunes playing in the space and more than 20 vendors eager to hook you up with jewelry, pottery, art, home goods and other handcrafted wares:
- Alquimia Holistica
- Art by Angel
- Beth Eaton Pottery
- Boho Designs by Katya
- Camino Woodshop
- ChandlerHouganCo
- ClayMade
- Covet & Ginger
- Empress Baking Company
- The Flower Farm
- Good Hound
- Greenhaven Home Essentials
- Happy Joy Candy Co.
- Ina Maka
- Natural Artisan Home
- Rebecca Zastany
- Shelby Page Ceramics
- Soulroost
- Susan Rubach
- Sweet Little Box Co.
- Wit and Co.
If you need something a little more substantial in your stomach to fuel your shopping, Tots on the Street will be right outside selling gourmet stuffed spuds to warm you up as you wander through Station 1846's outdoor market that’s open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Walker’s Point gathering place still has spots available for interested vendors (send an email if you’re interested) and will also have live music, pictures with Sanda and its bar open for anyone looking to grab a beverage. On top of that, there’s a wine-and-bourbon tasting you can join for $5.
For more information on both, go to Anodyne’s market webpage or the events section of Station 1846’s website.
